StL thought they'd get Blackmon at 6, time for them to move back.

Dallas handed over pick No. 45 in the second-round to the Rams to move up from pick No. 14. Yes, the team signed Brandon Carr during the offseason but Morris Claiborne is an elite man to man cornerback. He mirrors at the line of scrimmage well with a fluid hip turn while playing the ball in the air like a receiver. Mike Jenkins only has one-year left on his contract so Claiborne offers a nice tandem to cover the receiver heavy NFC East.

Wonderlic score aside... Clairborne can flat out play. Versus super competition (ARK, BAMA) he cranked it up and played like a superstar IMO... he's always around the ball.. can hit and cover. Great pick by the Boys.

Unfortunately I agree. Kid can ball & the Dallas secondary has been a joke for the last decade. Huge need pick. .

Claiboune is no Patrick Peterson, so IMO he is/was over valued. Barron can play safety & Tampa 2 corner so I prefer upside of Barron in grand scheme of things. but if those dbacks had trouble with complex D then bringing in a guy with a wonder lick score of 6 won't help lol

I still think that the wonderlick is overrated. Claiborne on it:

Quote

“They say it’s an IQ test,” Claiborne added. “I came to the Combine for football. I looked at the test, and wasn’t any questions about football. I didn’t see no point in the test. I’m not in school anymore. I didn’t complete it. I only finished 15 or 18 questions.”

I mentioned in the wonderlick thread: how smart to you have to be to be a CB? "Follow that WR, jump high".
